ADEDAYO FADESOLA COMPLETES 17 DAY MARATHON FROM LAGOS TO ABUJA AND CONTINUES





Fadesola Adedayo journeyed  his way from Lagos to Abuja and back to Lagos

“I am happy I started and finished the trek. I
am happy to represent my generation in a
positive way because my effort has shown
that with determination we can actually
achieve a lot,” he said.
Adedayo explained that the race was to
keep alive the memory of his brother and
sensitise Nigerians about SJS and the
dangers of drug abuse.
“I chose to embark on this project to raise
money and awareness for Steven Johnson
Syndrome that killed my brother four years
ago. And all the money will be received will
go to research so that people would not have
to go through what my family went through,”
he said.
Adesola Adebayo, the father of the
marathoner, was impressed and inspired
by the effort of his son against a life-
threatening syndrome.
“This is a project that many more young
people should recreate against other life
threatening farces in our society,” he said.
Abiola Adebayo, the mother of the
marathoner, urged young people to
influence progress and development of
nations through inspired projects like that
of her son.
