Türkiye Bursları 2026: Full Guide for African Students

 Türkiye Bursları is the Turkish government's flagship scholarship for international students.



What Makes It Unique:

Unlike most scholarships, Türkiye Bursları places you in a university and department — you don't have to apply separately .

The 4 Program Types:

  1. Associate Degree — 2-year vocational programs

  2. Bachelor's — 4-year undergraduate

  3. Master's — 2-year graduate

  4. PhD — 4-year doctoral

What Most African Students Don't Know:

Even if your program is in English, you must complete a 1-year Turkish language course and reach C1 level. If you fail, your scholarship can be terminated .

The Timeline:

  • Applications: January 10 – February 20, 2026

  • Interview invites: April–June

  • Final results: August at the earliest
